Bay Area Artist Stephanie Metz is known by many for her visually inviting felt and wool creations; in her newest exhibition of sculpture, visitors are invited to interact through touch. Stephanie Metz: InTouch at the de Saisset Museum at Santa Clara University debuts two new bodies of work: the large, mysterious, chrysalis-like Hanging Pods and the movable, stackable, wearable surrealist forms of the Holdables. The exhibition runs from January 10 - June 13, 2020.
Stephanie Metz lives with her techie husband and two sons in San Jose, where she works from a studio at the Alameda Artworks downtown. She has been featured in San Jose's Content Magazine, Adobe Inspire Magazine, American Craft, and 500 Felt Objects.
