Our May meeting was held in Morgan Hill at Ladera Grill. Our Hospitality committee:

Debbie Earl, Carol Wynne and Pamala Ryalls-Boyd did an outstanding job of finding the

restaurant and making sure all details for our meeting went smoothly. Carol made the

flower arrangements for the tables. After Louise Persson held a brief business meeting to

approve the minutes of the last meeting and thanking the board and committee members

for an outstanding job throughout the year we voted for the new 2025-26 board. Most of the

positions held by the current board remained the same. New board members voted in

were: Alka Pradhan for Treasurer, Charlene Nagayama for Secretary, Lisa Lewis for

membership, Joseph Coha will be our new Webmaster. Coleen Jansen has agreed to help Mary Perry with the newsletter.

We had several options for lunch that included a salad for our first course, four choices for

an entrée an two choices for dessert. Our Hospitality Committee also surprised us with a

raffle for Starbucks and Baskin Robbins gift cards. They also raffled the lovely flower

arrangements Carol made. The lucky winners were: Louise, Alka, Eve, Toby, Beth, Marcia,

Jennifer, Lisa Dearborn, Barb, Carrie and Lisa Lewis. The most charming surprise of the

lunch was our special guest, little Jack: Kelsey’s 6 month old son. We are all in love with

that little one. He uttered not one peep during the luncheon.

Suman arranged for a quick tour of the new Contemporary Art Gallery a few doors down

from the restaurant. The gallery is a fairly new art gallery that features work from over forty

artists. Elle Honl Herman, the Director of Cura Art Gallery gave us an in-depth look at some

of the artists who have their works on view this month at the gallery. The gallery also offers

free and affordable workshops and events for children.
